Messenger WithYou is a Windows Live Messenger client for Android which allows you to chat over the instant messaging network (formerly known as MSN Messenger), on your phone.
Besides being able to chat via instant message, Messenger WithYou allows you to update your Windows Live status, manage your contacts, and visit your Hotmail inbox. The user interface of Messenger WithYou is smart and easy to navigate, making it a very comfortable tool for instant messaging.
To open the chat window in Messenger WithYou you simply tap a contact's name. You can then start typing and exchanging messages. The application includes several MSN emoticons that can be inserted with ease into your chats. Tapping the menu button pulls up a list of other commands, including quick messages for instantly inserting commonly-used phrases.
The chat menu in Messenger WithYou also lets you send files within the chat, although there is a limit of 1MB on the size of the file you can send.
It's worth remembering that Messenger WithYou is an unofficial Windows Live app for Android, so not all features and options of the service are included. For instance, there's no integration with SkyDrive, and the Hotmail option takes you out of the app, which is kind of pointless
In lieu of an official Windows Live Messenger app, Messenger WithYou lets you chat simply and easily over the network on your Android device.
